Keith J. Krach

Keith J. Krach, commonly known as Keith Krach, is Chairman and Co-Founder of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, Chairman of the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council, CEO of Freedom 250, and former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment. His work focuses on advancing trusted technology, democratic values, supply-chain security, and technology diplomacy among governments, companies, and allies.

As Under Secretary of State, Krach led economic-security initiatives focused on trusted technology, supply-chain resilience, and U.S. leadership in strategic technology sectors. He helped launch the Clean Network, advanced U.S.–Taiwan economic and technology cooperation, supported efforts to strengthen semiconductor supply chains, and promoted trusted technology partnerships among democratic nations.

Following his government service, Krach co-founded the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue to advance the field of technology diplomacy and help leaders understand the national-security, economic, and values-based dimensions of emerging technologies, including AI, semiconductors, quantum, 5G, biotech, and critical infrastructure.

Krach previously served as Chairman and CEO of DocuSign, Chairman and CEO of Ariba, and was a founding team member of Rasna Corporation. Earlier in his career, he became the youngest-ever vice president at General Motors and helped launch GMF Robotics, a joint venture between GM and FANUC.

He is a former Chairman of the Purdue Board of Trustees and has been recognized for leadership in entrepreneurship, manufacturing, public service, and technology. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
